One or 2 of you already know (from the thread in relationships) that I have some personal family stuff going on with sister and her xdh. I'm in contact with the xdh as she's out of the area and I've been worried about the kids and him having support with school runs etc etc.

This morning I've received an email from him saying he's looking into childcare vouchers from work (TEDS) and asked how much I charge for summer hols.

Long long story and may not work that way (sister has solicitor etc) BUT IF he does end up needing a childminder, should I be the one to have them????

One part of me thinks that the poor loves don't need the extra upset of a stranger looking after them, and they've never been in any form of childcare before. The other part thinks I'm too close to them and maybe it would be very awkward.

Anyone got any experience, advice, ANYTHING to say or suggest??? PLEASE!!

I also know nothing about holiday clubs so would like to know what the cost comparison is??? They are 5 and 8.

Thanks

Thanks people I'm fine numbers-wise as I only have 2 under 5 mindees and my own ds at the mo. I don't have a big enough car for any more which is why i didn't take anymore (too dangerous to walk to the local schools round here). If my nephew was under 8 then it would be a problem but as he's 8, he doesn't count - DOES HE???? (please confirm, beginning to wonder now - too hot )

I don't care that it's only for a short time as I wasn't planning to take any more on yet anyway but this could be an added bonus (couldn't take much money though, not family!)

Another problem is IF this happened, I just daren't think about how my sister would react (it's a long story!).

Just need a 7-seater!!! Did have someone round last night who wants to swap theirs for our 4x4 we've been trying to sell. Fingers crossed.
