Childminders-do you do something special for mindees who are leaving?

Hi there. I have a child leaving this week who has been in my care for 2 years and was wondering what/ if I should do something special on her last day. Going to miss here.

I've had a few mindees leave over the past few months. Little ones, we had a wee party on their last day, let them choose activities, favourite snacks etc and I gave mum a disc of all the photos I'd taken. Older mindee, I made a little book with photos and copies of my recipes. Hate having to say goodbye, but I still see them around occasionally.

I usually have some sort of outing in the day (typically either softplay or something outdoors if weather permits) and a special tea at home or trip out for pizza - depends how old they are, obviously.

I do their favourite outing and meal. One who left for school last week was desperate to come in her pyjamas, so we arranged for her to get dropped off early for breakfast.
