Just got my certificate last week. Ive spent this week going round mums and tots and newsagents etc advertising but Im really worried about how long its going to take me to find mindees. All the local cmders say its lucritive round here but where are they all? My name isnt on CIS list yet as OFSTED say it takes two weeks from registration.

Have you tried all the advertising tips thread idea's? Worth a try, really is worth trying EVERYTHING. Will bump in case you need it :)

Ive advertised on a few of these. It seems to be word of mouth that works the best though. I went to a childminder support group on MOnday that was helpful.

Definately word of mouth is the best form of advertising get to as many places as you can and leave adverts/cards. I've just got a new mindee from my hairdresser and she's said it's no problem to leave my business cards in the reception area

I would recommend leaving cards anywhere you go.

I agree word of mouth is great but honestly, I've had tons of calls through my own advertising so it's worth doing that too. You can't over advertise imo. Good luck :)
