Hello i had my inspection in April and was told as long as i had somewhere the parents could write complaints then that was ok. I had a brand new excercise on the book with complaints written on it and she said this was fine as long as it was out daily for the parents to write things in if they needed too. I also had given the parents a brief crib sheet on what to do if they wanted to complain ie to me first, if i couldnt help or they wanted to take it further then all of ofsteds contact details! Hope this helps!

That's right, you can use any form/system you like as long as you have got a system in place for recording all complaints.
I've just put my \link{http://members.aol.com/ukchildminder/complaints.htm\complaints procedure} in a file together with the Ofsted \link{http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/publications/index.cfm?fuseaction=pubs.summary&id=2997\Concerns & Complaints}. I've also got one side of Annex: Provider complaints record and how to complete the complaints record but the Ofsted Inspector said there should be something on the back of this; i can't find the original to get the other side copied.

I have a book like claddersfamily. I have also given parents a complaints policy, which includes Ofsted details and also the NCMA helpline number. I've been told that this is all perfectly acceptable.
