Childcare Vouchers

We have never used childcare before, so this is all frying my brain!

Im off to college in a few weeks. We are using 2 different childminders (one for before school, one for after).

We plan to use childcare vouchers through DHs work. How do they work? Does the CM have to cash them in like a cheque? Are they paid in arrears? and can I use them for 2 different CMs?

Thanks!

your husband agrees to deduct a certain amount up to £243 / month from his salary which gets paid to a voucher provider.
Your childminder(s) have to register with that particular provider.
Your husband then authorises how much of the amount he pays to the voucher company each month gets paid to each of the childminders.
The voucher co pays it straight into the childminder's bank account on the date that the CM has requested.
Your husband saves some tax hurrah.

Oh, sounds a lot easier than I thought! Thanks!
