How to tell nanny

I just feel really bad really. I have a new nanny from April, my first one ever and she is amazing, I have grown very quickly to really rely on her and trust her with my baby daughter. She has gone above and beyond every day she has worked for me. I have just found out that we will need to leave the country for my husbands job in September so I will need to let her go. I know it is hard to get work for even very good nannies but my situation means that she only works from 10-4pm and it fit in very well with her own family life (she has a 1 yr old son). I don't think it will be easy to find something similar again. I need to give her a months notice but I was going to give 2 so that she can start looking and interviewing. Does anyone have any tips on things I can do to help her other than post about her on local sites and tell all my friends in case they know of someone looking for a nanny. I just feel terrible, she was telling me recently about how her husband is relieved she is back at work and how life is easier now:(

Give her as much notice as possible and the best reference in the world, it's really not your fault about moving.

Write a detailed reference. Keep her updated with your contact details so future employers can contact you for a verbal reference.

Tell her now so she can start looking, if you can cope without her if she did get a new job very quickly. Give written notice as per the contractual arrangement.

Make sure you have payroll sorted out - are you using a payroll company? There will be end of employment and end of year paperwork to be done.
