just out of interest and ideas for summer hols...
today we went to the sea life centre
tomorrow - bounce and rhyme and free play maybe do some clay modelling
friday childminders drop in for play and lunch

Tues - made a scarecrow, measured and planted out our sunflowers (everyone took one home in a pot too).
weds - started our papermache piggy banks, rounders at the park with other childminders after picnic lunch.
Thurs - put another layer on our piggy banks and then go to local adventure playarea (weather permitting).
Friday - paint our piggy banks, bake some cakes for a fundraising coffee morning we are holding on saturday.

Think I've told you think already LMGs but....
Tues - local country park for walk, clown show and picnic
Wed - place with soft play, water/pretend sand play, toys, playhouses, sensory items, fancy dress items etc.
Thurs - farm with play area
Fri - if nice then park, football etc and/or messy play, threading etc.
I only take 0-5 yr olds though.

Put papermache over a balloon.
After 2nd layer add 4 feet (bottom bits of an egg box but don't forget you have to microwave them first), then burst the balloon and add another bit of egg box for snout and put more papermache over the top. (I did have to put on some layers of paper myself in the evenings cos only had a week and you need a few layers)
When all done and dry paint it pink add or paint eyes etc and then cut a slot in the top and a hole in the bottom (we had saved some tops out of some sweetie tubes at xmas to use to bung up the hole).
Ours got finished today and they look fab and the kids loved them.
