I use standard NCMA contracts. With 4 weeks notice period.
Parent has given notice on Monday 17. I am on holiday for 1 week in the next 4.
Am I right in thinking that the notice period cannot include my holiday.
If so when would last payment be due. Am I due 4 more weeks work/pay? Or
Does this week count in the notice period?
My head is a wreck at the moment. So please don't tell me off for being stupid! Blush

Most contracts specify 4 weeks notice which may not include holiday. So you are probably entitled to be paid for 4 weeks which will in practice fall either side of your week's holiday. It would be up to the family whether they actually required you to work the full notice or chose to leave earlier. That is assuming you had notified the holiday before you were given notice - I don't think you could book holiday to extend the notice period after they gave notice. HTH.

Thank you.
My holiday was already booked.
