Hi all, I'm looking for an afterschool nanny four days a week, term time only from September. There will be a need for the nanny to do a few full days at the beginning of the easter, christmas and summer holidays but other than that we will not need them during school holidays. What do you do about pay for this time?

Thanks all.

I'm a term time nanny. ( although full days as a under 5 )
My boss counts up the years hours and splits it into twelve. Paying me by standing order on the first if the month.
Any extra hours gets put in a book and paid straight into my bank on the 1st as well.

Thanks helpful - Thanks. Does your contract then stipulate that you can only take holiday during school holidays?

Ours did. I had someone for after schools who also did holidays for a while for our youngest children. I think she did most of the holidays actually so that was probably easier for her and she had a few other part time jobs as well.

The big issue is nannies have to eat so if you're just paid part of the year it's hard to survive.
