That's just it really, I am about to give notice to my families. I am not sure I will give it up forever but need a break.

Money is fine for me to do this

Has anyone else ever felt like giving up?

I really wish I could afford to give up, I've just started maternity leave and have to say the extra half hour on a morning with my kids is bliss, they miss the others but I don't miss the squabbling and not listening!

I cannot wait for the quieter mornings, no school runs at all for the foreseeable and dp has surprised me a how supportive he has been. I am very lucky to be able to take a break

Ok, stage 2 of the taking a break process is children who think you don't like them as you are not letting them come round to play anymore. Bloody hell Hmm

That is really hard :(

I felt the same and had my ds.

At my happiest I was working in London and had about 5 different families and was able to pick and choose my hours as they were free lance. Different kids every day which was fun and families very grateful and no chance of being taken for granted.
