Hi would there be anyone looking for a nanny / au pair share in the above area? My au pair has just resigned, we had her full time but my children will be at school full time from September and I also only work part-time. We are desperate to get somebody for the summer and then mostly school runs. Let me know if you interested or have some suggestions. Thanks

Hi Tammy

There is a nanny share thread btw.

Also why don't you advertise on gumtree or at your children's school for after school help.
You may get someone happy to pick up after school and care for children at your house. Don't forget you will be employing them so responsible for tax & NI and holiday pay. Quote gross rate incase they have other income. I think you may find it difficult to cover before and after school runs. Does the school have a breakfast club?

Why would you not get another aupair? They generally only do 20-25 hours per week which will be easily eaten up by before and after school, plus you have to think about half-term, holidays, INSET days, illness etc. You may need different people for summer and term-time. I always found that people who wanted to work after-school were fitting it around another job and simply weren't available for full days.
