Temporary nanny South East

Hi,
We might need to employ a temporary nanny to care for our three year old part-time, for several weeks in July/August before starting nursery. We will have just moved, so would rather have care at home than use a childminder. It is just to fill a gap. Could be anything between 2 long days or 3 normal length days per week, but we would want the same person throughout.

How would I go about this? I know that I could just advertise...or.. Is there a London agency that is good for temporary nannies? We will be just outside London and in very easy commuting distance. We could accommodate overnight if necessary.
How does it work with paying the agency fee on very temporary posts?
many thanks,

Hi whereabouts are you going to be? I may be needing 2 days filled over that period so may be able to help. Thanks Jenni

Just south of M25, towards Sevenoaks.
Very good transport links by rail too.

Try childcare.co.UK

If it's July/August maybe look at local college/uni and recruit a student studying childcare/social care etc? Maybe they have a notice board or online equivalent where you can advertise? Part time temporary work will obviously not suit that many nannies who would mostly be looking for more hours and permanent.

That's my area :) or sevenoaks is and I'm a temporary nanny :)

Sadly I can't help you as booked up till end of July with my current position. and the family I'm working for at the moment may extend into August - but if they don't and you are still looking then message me

You could try calling Sam at Elizabeth Henry nannies - she's very good - where I get a lot of my temp positions from

Ps think you may have a friend called Suzanne? She knows im a nanny and asked me if I was free in July&aug to help her Friend out while waiting for nursery - though this may be a totally different job Grin

Thanks, all v.helpful.
I think it might be a different person, as I don't have a Suzanne in my circle. But twould be great if you were free!
