My nearly 1-year-old DS is due to start nursery 2 days a week in a couple of weeks' time. We've just found out that my husband has a new job, and can't get back in time to pick him up from nursery. Do you think a childminder would have him just for an hour? New to all this childcare business and not sure how it works.... How do i find someone? We've just moved to the area and feeling a bit stranded.
Would it just be easier to have a childminder take him all day instead of sending him to nursery, so he doesn't get too muddled?
Any advice much appreciated

I personally think same minder all day. It may confuse the little one to have 2 different carers in one day x

definitely a childminder all day. having worked in nurseries and now as a childminder i would never advise nursery for such a young child.
one carer is do much better for so many reasons, having a cm pick up from nursery is probably the worst thing as your child will be wanting to see you, then have the relative disappointment of it being someone else, then have an hour with that person only to have to then ho home!
