Childcare Vouchers

I have just found it my company that I work for do not offer childcare vouchers.

What can I do?

I don't think we can even get working tax credit even if I return to work less 1 day a week as we earn too much?

Companies do not have to offer them, possibly one reason why Government is proposing to change things from 2015.

Ask them to set it up, I did for one of my families, the used a commercial voucher company first then when they realised there was a saving they did it themselves.

So does this cost the company in anyway?

I think a lot of companies don't offer them as they are obliged to continue them during any parental leave at their own cost.

Mine didn't but set it up after I requested it. We are a company of only 12 and I think I'm the only one that uses it. They self-administer it so there is very little cost and just pay DD nursery direct each month and deduct from my salary.

I think it saves them employers NI on that bit of the salary so should save them money
