I've just completed my level 2 and writing my first reports. I am just struggling to link my observations to the areas of the EYFS. Some of them cover quite a few areas. The other day a child was playing with the
sand and accidentally made a mess on the floor he is only 2.5 but he went and got the dust pan and brush and attempted to sweep it up. I know this would come under PD but would it also come under knowledge and understanding of the world????

Yes and maybe maths too. Was there anymark making in the sand ? The best activities ioften cover more than one area.

If he swept up so the others wouldn't slip, it might be PSED as well Grin

NotInTheMood · 08/03/2013 20:06

Lol hmm don't think that was his intention.

there's no knowledge any more - they only have to understand the world!!
If he told you what he was doing it's CL too

PandaG · 08/03/2013 22:40

def PSED - if following the expectations of the setting!

As you can see NotInTheMood, it's possible to be very resourceful with EYFS !
