anyone know whether ofsted would have any problems with someone with epilipsy become a minder? they are on medication and have not had an attack for over 3 years? its the only thing puttingthem off filling the forms in

If the medication is keeping them seizure free then they still have/can reapply for their driving licence. IMO it would be safe for children to be left in their care, providing they did not stop or reduce their medication.

But I don't know what Ofsted would say. The problem is that no-one can guarantee there will never be another seizure - what if this happened while childminding?

I have epilepsy and i was a childminder no problems at all tell your friend.

I know someone with epilepsy who got registered, it just had to be "under control". I would ring OFSTED just to be sure (although you could get a million different answers of course!)
