Childminder/nursery recommendations in Oxford

We are looking for a childminder in the Oxford area. We live in East Oxford but could equally look in town which is where I work. Our daughter is 19 months - recommendations/suggestions welcome! Would also consider a nursery too.

The Grandpont nursery is incredibly good but there's a big waiting list. I wouldn't go to either of the KidsUnlimited nurseries (especially the one on the business park). The Buffer Bear nursery near the station is supposed to be good. There are very few CMs in East Oxford - I think I'm one of only half a dozen and I won't have a vacancy until next September. There's a childminder dropin at the East Oxford Children's Centre (behind Tesco) on a Tuesday morning between 11 and 11.30 - it may be worth you popping in to see if you can have a chat with any of the minders there.
