Am I being a wuss?

Have 8 year old at childminder and my soon to be 1yr old will start at the same place in the new year.

Do I just send her to get on with it??? or break her in gently and build up from about an hour a day to what she will be doing on average about 5hrs a day??

I would expect the CM to suggest a settling in period over a number of days, especially as your 8yo is presumably at school most of the time.

my DSs did a few settling in session - maybe 2 or 3 - short and then building up- its as much for your confidence that DC is going to be ok - i am suprised CM hasn't suggested it
