Stage 1-3 car seat

I need a new car seat for CMing and wondered if anyone has got a stage 1-3 (9mths-11yrs) seat they can recommend that is padded enough to stop a little one lolling around if they nod off but can be easily changed to suit an older child. Preferably not too pricey Smile

Ps got a big car so most will fit comfortably!

I think the Britax Evolva is supposed to be pretty good? Not used it personally though.

Thanks Bertie that's the one I had my eye on but am a bit Hmm at the £90 price tag for a spare seat.

The britax evolver I was warned against based on which reviews I can't remember names of ones I have but they are high back boosters from 15kg with chest impact pads for those from 9kg so very easy to change just an impact pad you put seatbelt through if too young for normal high back booster

Oh yes, how did I forget those - the Kiddy seats. I had the 9 month-4 years one and it was fantastic. A friend has the one which goes up to 12 years and that looks great too. It's expensive though, nearing £200 I think for the larger one. And parents might be a bit Hmm at the lack of harness, although they are really very safe, even safer than harnessed seats.

By any chance are any of your existing high back seats made by Jane as the impact shields in Tesco are sold separately at £63 the seats they are compatible with are £114 but I am just off to bed but I wonder if you can buy the seats somewhere cheaper

I have a Recaro young sport, but it's also on the pricey side. It's got a decent recline on it though, and an insert for younger children. (DS is 3.3)

I hated the britax evolva one as it was just so hard to fit, big and bulky. I now have the kiddy seats 9 months to 12. Love them, so easy to shift in and out of the car.
