I wonder how many were from Local Authority... some of them might have been, as when I worked there many had been with local authorities and moved over to Ofsted.

Hard to know if the assessment process was fair or not, failing by one point seems harsh but I suppose that sort of assessment has to be either a pass, or fail, no point in between.

If they had remained in the Civil Service instead of working for private companies, I expect the outcome would have been different - such as being offered retraining, or moving to some other part of the Civil Service. These days it doesn't work like that.

I am not at all surprised to find out, on reading the link, that Tribal are the company. This is just getting people out of the back door.
