Where can I look for childcare?

I need to find childcare, and I am thinking that a childminder would be best for our needs.

I have looked on childcare.co.uk but there are only 2 on there in my local area.

Where else can I look? Are there any other websites similar to childcare.co.uk?
I will ring FIS on Monday, but would like to start looking this weekend online of possible.
TIA.

Gumtree? Netmums? Also our local council has a list of registered childminders so try yours?

Great ideas Iggly, thank you. I just realised that childcare.co.uk is pretty useless without subscribing to pay £19.99 per month!

Mi, I'm afraid we are not looking for a nanny, and we do not need full time childcare, but thank you for the offer. Good luck finding something though. (ps my name is not Tia, it stands for Thanks In Advance Smile)

Thanks for all the help.
