Is it all hideously out of date now? Or could some of it still be relevant?

I've just unpacked a box full of books and childcare/education material and found files and CDs, mostly DfE stuff, that I'm reluctant to just chuck. And if it is all outdated, where can I get updated stuff?

The 2012 stuff is all online

Birth to Three was uploaded to the Foundation Years website in the summer as it was unavailable in the archive, because although it's no longer officially current a lot of the advice/suggestions/information is still relevant and shows examples of good practice.
The EYFS 2012 & accompanying materials are the official stuff you must comply with if on the Early Years Register (all downloadable from www.foundationyears.org ) but this doesn't make all the examples of good practice etc from previous documents obsolete. You don't have to keep it but some of it may be useful

As inspection will focus on the 'progress check at age 2' Birth to 3 will come in handy and, as said above, the Foundation Years website has information on that...just click on EYFS 2012 and you will find Birth to 3 there

I'm not a CM so not really bothered about inspections. It's more academic, where it's perfectly acceptable to refer back but not being aware of current guidelines or practice etc means instant discreditation making up words (even if you acknowledge and then say you disagree). Good to know done if it could still be useful. I shall go through it all and mark what's changed.

Otherwise I'd have binned the lot and saved myself the time!
