I am anxious to get going with childminding but have to do this course first. It is possible to get it done quicker than the recommended 3 months, or is it very full on? (i am going to do it online). Thanks

I don't think it can all be done online. I know the first aid and initial safeguarding children has to be attended in real life and I would be amazed if any council allows the training to all be done online.
Are you talking about a specific course.
Oh, and CRB checks can take months, plus doctors notes, plus initial home visit from OFSTED , environmental health registration and possible inspection etc etc etc...

I'm assuming you mean CYPOP5 or equivalent that now has to be completed before you can apply to Ofsted to be registered?

Yes that's the one.

I just did the NCMA online Cypop5 in about 6 weeks. Its really up to you how fast you do it - just 12 weeks is the guideline time. I highly recommend it. PM me if you have any questions.

I did my CYPOP5 in about 8 weeks but I was on holiday for a two week chunk in the middle of that time so I really only worked on it for 6 weeks, mainly on the weekends. I think it took me roughly 40 hours to complete so you could definitely do it much faster than 3 months =)
