mileage costs

I will try to make this as clear as possible!
I have been asked to do a school run which isn't my nearest school, its about a 10 mile round trip which will need to be done 4 times a week.
I am in the position where at the moment I can do it and dont mind doing it but just wondered what mileage costs I should ask for.
Thanks

I think the max you can ask is 45p per mile.

I think as a childminder you cannot ask for mileage you have to add the cost into what you would charge .

if you are nanny then it is 45p per mile

A message thread from April this year which may be relevant.

Are you a nanny or a childminder? Would you also be providing childcare in addition to doing the school run?

I'm a childminder and I will be transporting other children. I will be providing childcare also to these children
Looks like its more complicated than what I first thought

You can't ask for mileage you need to build it into your hourly rate, just charge slightly more per hour.

I think I will work out how long it will take me in time and times it by my hourly rate.
Thanks for your help
