Just applied for my Ofsted registration is there any policies etc I need?

Hi, no you dont need any policies. You just need to fill in the forms and get it varified at the post office. To be able to apply you need to have a childcare qualification, an indate first aid certificate and insurance.

Oh I was told I needed policies etc. have a qualification first aid etc

is the only thing you need to have given parents information about. It does not say it has to be written, though may be wise to stick it on an e-mail to your boss.

Is it wise to get written permission for taking pics etc?

Discuss it with your boss. You are their employee, so why would you need written permission to do something that is part of your job - if your boss wants you to take picture of the children and to send the pics to your boss. Remember that the pictures are only to be shared with your boss, not anyone else, without permission from your boss.
Discuss it via e-mail with your boss if you like... that way you have a e-paper trail.

You need a qualification (CYPOP5 is fine), first aid and insurance. That's it. Nothing else thankfully!

I have verbal permission to take and store photos of the children and to give routine medication. I think both are covered in my contract though which has been signed by me and my bosses.
