Sore throat, pounding headache etc just want to curl up under the duvet, no such chance.

The downside of being a childminder, I'm not ill enough to let everyone down but feel yuck Sad

Take it gently, lots of cups of teas, a dvd or two, take breaks to sit down when you can, paracetamol and coffee good luck Ive been there Smile

Thanks broody, I've had some cold capsules, a berrocca, 2 teas. It's hard because I can't afford to let people down.

I'm planning a dvd for after lunch while the youngest one naps but we stayed in yesterday so we need to get out somewhere today, I've got cheques that need paying in and dd1 wants dropping off at her cousins so I will make the effort to go to the park for a bit and then after lunch I can rest at least, after that it will be garden/ colouring/ playdough I think.

Oh dear, and its always on a day when you have lots of kids i find.

If ever i am feeling poorly the parents of my minded kids never mind a day of dvds/sling a load of craft stuff on the table and get on with it/colouring/wii sports tournament type days because they are grateful i am still working so as long as the kids are entertained, fed and kept safe it wont hurt for one day.

Hope its not too long a day for you and you soon feeling bit better.

Hope you feel better soon, know what you mean about not letting people down, I've got joint problems and thought I was having a flare up, struggled on but it turned our I'd fractured my hip this time. There was no wonder I was in agony!

MUM2BLESS · 14/08/2012 14:03

oh dear. Ensure you have an early night.

What times are you doing? Let us know how you got on Smile

Oh no - hope you feel better soon. I call these types of days 'cbeebies' days! Doesn't do any harm once in a while and I'm sure parents would prefer to have the childcare rather than the incovenience of having to sort out alternatives. Hope tomorrow is better for you

Xroads · 14/08/2012 21:49

Thanks, I'm off to bed now, I started at 7.30am and finished at 6pm, did manage to get out for a bit and I'm feeling a bit better than I was so hopefully tomorrow I'll be lots better Smile

I'm still not 100% but I'm going to do a day trip to a museum/ dinosaur exhibition.
