I'm looking for one ATM and have registered on Aupair World. I've had over 100 applications, some good some not so good, I'm speaking with a few of them getting to know them, it says it's free but it's not really you have to pay 29ish Euro to message people

I have used aupair world twice, so obviously like it. It has been worth the money to get the intro's. My tips: I start looking a few months in advance of when you want them to start. This way I am getting a girl who has some sort of plan as opposed to someone who decided last night to be an aupair and wants to start on Friday. To my mind they would have researched it and be more likely to be a tad more mature and sensible. Don't enter into communication with anyone who doesn't write something personal to you, as they are often just applyiong enmasse. If you like some one get refs and check them out as soon as possible, and likewise give them your refs asap too. I have always encouraged them to chat to our previous nanny/babysitters for a warts and all view of our family. I hope this is helpful.
