Overnight babysitter, going rate?

What is the going rate for a sitter to look after kids all night? Also what would be reasonable times to and from for a sat/sun?

I think it depends partly on the kids, if they're older/ sleep through it's different to a toddler who may be up in the night missing mummy.

If the babysitter is a sensible teen I'd probably say £40 starting early evening to finish mid to late morning but if you're using an agency they'll charge you an hourly rate £8.50 was the going rate at one I used.

MN will inevitably say I'm mean and mutter about the minimum wage though.
