A group of NW London mothers are looking for a CRB checked lady
driver to take 7 year old girls to and from a school in Barbican from
Camden, London. They have contacted us ie FOXY Lady Drivers Club for help. Is anyone here in this situation please?

Is that legal under the Equality Act? That may be something you would need to check with your legal advisor. Whilst the parents are able to decide who cares for their child in their own home, deciding that a taxi driver (which is presumably the case here, as the person is just providing transport) has to be female may make it very hard to advertise, as I don't think the exceptions to the Equality Act or the advertising standards would permit it. I'm not a lawyer though, so I suggest you get legal advise about that if you as a club decide to advertise this position to the general public.

I would wonder if you could advertise it just to members via a newsletter (which is only accessible to members)... that may be allowed as Women are only able to join your club. That may be why these mothers have come to you.

Do you have any members who are taxi or mini-cab drivers? They may be able to be of help to these mothers.

There are some lady taxi drivers... maybe suggest they contact them to see if they would do NW London.

Pink Ladies is interesting as they are a Memebers Club like you and it is via that setup that customers (who have to also be Members) can book a taxi driven by a female driver.
