I would like to become a childminder and have a few questions please

What course do I have to take?
My partner is currently (hopefully not for too much longer) unemployed would this be a problem?
And I currently have my own 5 month little girl would this effect it in any way?
Thankyou

Your own little girl will mean you can have 1 less under 5 and no under 1's until her birthday.

If you look on the ofsted website the forms are there with the requirements, if you fill them in and start the process the first aid course etc can be done whilst crb's eyc are in the system.

If you ring your local council they sometimes run introductory courses but don't be fooled like I was that you have to go to the course to get the papers and apply cos you can do it direct often much quicker than waiting for a course. It's not cheap to get started, my Medical form alone was £90.

If you look up childminding forum it's a fab site with loads of info on what to expect etc.
