Hi, I currently work as a nurse looking after kids aged 4-12 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have 2 children of my own, a teenage dd and toddler ds and find I am exhausted all the time with demands of home and work. Myself and dh are ttc atm and my plan is that after my mat leave I am going to take a career break and register as a childminder. Do people think this a good move?

Childminding income isn't guaranteed - and it can be stressful. Your home isn't necessarily your own (work stuff everywhere) and there's more paperwork than you might think.

However it's what I did when DD was born (quit out of home work to register) and am looking forward to starting back up once maternity leave finishes Smile
