Babysitter and husband?

Advice please! I'm not sure why I feel slightly anxious about this and would really appreciate other opinions. Our new babysitter is excellent. We've used her for about a month and the kids (3 and 1) adore her. She phoned yesterday to confirm for tomorrow and thursday and has proposed taking them out to a local attraction, weather permitting, and asked if it would be ok if her husband joined them. She offered to bring him around first to allow me to meet him. They're going through the fostering process at the moment and really are a great find. I just feel a bit weird about the kids leaving for the day with someone I don't know.

Is she a registered childminder, if so then he will have been cleared as a suitable person to be around children, the cm will not leave the children alone with him. Nb assuming england, if elsewhere different regs may spply

We found her through a local agency, so all checks done. And yes, England.
