Does anyone have 6 mindees on a regular basis?

I had 6 children yesterday and today and I am absolutely knackered!

The hardest part was getting up to school each morning because three of them were in a buggy. It might have been a bit easier if I could have fitted everyone in the car but it has been so full-on inbetween school/nursery runs that I'm not sure that being able to drive them everywhere would have made a huge difference!

Two of the mindees are only here for the week so we're not that familiar with eachother which has probably made things more tiring and two of my regulars are quite lively at the best of times Grin. luckily the older two are 9yrs (one of them is my own ds) and are so good with the little ones.

I have four under 4yrs tomorrow and Friday and am expecting to be in a darkened room by 5pm Friday evening ... possibly with alcohol GrinGrin.

So, I was wondering if cms regularly have 6 mindees all week? Do you find it exhausting or am I just being a wimp?! I usually have 3 or 4 at a time and find it perfectly manageable...I wonder if it's the combination of ages and the mammoth school run that has made it so difficult.

ah bless ya!!!

...i have between 5 and 10 on the school run;2 under 2,a 3 year old and the others between 6 and 10...
..had 9 after school tonight!
They are all fantastic kids-the 10 year old boy told me i was 'a legend' tonight :)-and,apart from the odd niggle, they get on great!

..but it is knackering!!!!!

Thebody - I would imagine that having that many for so long would make you crumble eventually!

I only had to take my ds to school this morning (shorter school run than other days) with two mindees in the buggy...it was a breeze in comparison to yesterday and tuesday! I've got four here now and they're all asleep Shock and we've been out to the park and all had lunch ShockShockGrinGrin.

I am actually hoping for a medal if I make it to 5pm tomorrow with all my marbles in place Grin.

I am in awe of those of you who manage this number on a regular basis...do you have people carriers or are your toddler groups/activities etc within walking distance?

I have 6 every day but would have more if I didn't have to drive to school. Don't think I could have loads of babies but mine are all over 2 so can walk around themselves but when I started I had a 3 month old, 7 month old and 14 month old plus 3 x schoolies.

I think it's the three year olds that I find the hardest. Two of them are very full-on and aren't quite big enough to walk the whole way to school (it's a long way and uphill) so are in the buggy.

I've noticed a massive difference today by swapping places around the buggy and pushed four of them in it to the park almost effortlessly...maybe it's the instensive weights I've been doing the last two days Grin
