My Ds is starting school in September. We love his childminder, she has been utterly wonderful since having ds from age 6 months.

So I would like to get her a present, I'm thinking a necklace, but what would be your perfect present?

I would like to get her something to show her how much she means to us Smile

The presents that I treasured the most was a cuddly dog, just like the child's one with a lovely card, some seeds to grow flowers in my garden, the child helped with the nursery garden, it seems that a present that mean so much are ones that would remind the cm of your child and alovely note, that's straight from the heart.

Not everyone's taste but the willow tree ornaments are nice not sure if there's a childminder type one?

I just received a lavender tree for the garden, it's lovely :-)
A necklace sounds good though x

Best present I ever got was a Bodum travel cup, sounds dull but its brilliant. Its like a flask but you drink from it and it holds 2 full mugs of coffee, I have used it daily for 2 years taking it out for the day and babysitting at night. Costs about £18 I think and comes in different colours and has never leaked and stays hot for 7 hours!!!

Melt I wish I had seen this before starting a very similar thread! :). The lavender tree sounds lovely!

Hmm autocorrect changed Melody to Melt? Or a typo. Apologies either way Grin

Thanks all Smile some lovely suggestions, I will ask Ds too, although he will probably want to get her a scooter or something!

I know I would love something from Bodyshop - like their lipbalm or showergel which doesn't cost a lot. I'm going to buy something like that for my ds's teacher and T.A instead of choccies

The best present I was given by a mindee was a home made card with the child's handprints and photograph on. I will always treasure it and reminds of the times we had together.Smile
