Term Time Cover - whats the best option for full time working Mum?

Hi, Im new to this site and this is my first post! Im moving to Chislehurst in June and my son, Oscar 2.5yrs is soon to join Babington School in Chislehurst in the new term (Sept). We were notified that even in pre-school rooms at Babington they follow the school term timetable.

As my husband and I both work full time up town, our options at the moment are either to look for a child minder for term time covergae or possibly keep him in the full time nursery he is already in in Petts Wood. Although not so keen for 2 reasons, 1) time and cost of travelling but most importantly 2) not so keen on the level of pre-school eductaion.

What do others mums do facing this dilema?! Really need some guidance, top tips, and/ or if anyone can recommend a good term time child minder in the chislehurst/Elmstead woods area.

Thanks all.
Sam

Babington School is an independent school at the look of it. So school term time there may well be different to local authority schools in the area.

Childminders near BR7 5ES
Finding a local childminder near the school, may be an option as they are then more likely to consider taking/collecting from the school.

What hours would Oscar be doing at pre-school?

What about care during the school holidays - do you need that, or would you/DH be able to take enough time off between you to cover all that time?

Do they offer a breakfast club and or an after school club as many families at indepent schools have two working parents.

I would imagine most parents have one at home at that age and in that position, or maybe an au-pair to help out.
Have you thought about Little Learners nursery in Bromley, pre-school education is really good.
