CM for school drop off / pick up

DD is starting school in September. Her name is down for after school club but she is not guaranteed a place.

Is it too early to start looking for a child minder now?

I got a CM vacancy list from the council but there are hardly any on there. Are there any other sources where I can get info for local CMs?

TIA

Ask the school
Call one and ask for numbers of others!

Childcare.co.uk and your local families information service may filter by school, some are online. School should be able to tell you (but maybe won't as it may look like they recommend) which childminders pick up from there.

You have used the best source.

I agree ask the office staff at the school, other mums/dads and someone will recommend a couple. You will find if they don't have a space then they usually know someone else who does.
