It suddenly occured to me ...

Now the new reviewed EYFS is out what are those who are currently going through training being taught?

In May I'm going for training for the new EYFS in preparation for the start of September.

Now on the website page (for my area) for those that are interested in being a CM it says that firstly you have to download the current EYFS and they say that it is being reviewed. No mention that it is out right now and how to get it and when they get that training too??

The new EYFS says that you have to have finished the initial training BEFORE you can be registered as a CM. A good move in my opinion. So that means that current newbies have to get trained twice or what?? I'm confussled.

i am studying the new level 3 diploma (CYPW) and it doesn't mention the new eyfs at all

I'm also doing the CYPW L3, its still the old/current Eyfs.

The new one doesn't come into effect until September 2012, its just a more simplified version of the current. The current EYFS will stay in effect until August 2012.

As far as I'm aware the CYPW is/will still be valid. (According to my tutor and assessor)
