About to pop twins, in London, and have 18 year old DS sitting A levels who might require the occasional droplet of attention (ie Pickled Onion Monster Munch supply). 4 bed, 3 bath house.

Super nice PILs have got us a maternity nurse for the first 3 weeks, then she'll do 4 nights for a further 3 weeks.

Partner will be working away during the week after paternity leave. So when the nurse goes, and having just fired the cleaner for not being very good at, well, cleaning, will be on my tod.

I THINK what I need is someone for a couple of hours twice a week while I have the nurse to clean/tidy/iron/wash, and then once the nurse goes (who will have been doing the twins' laundry, sterilising bottles etc) that goes up to 3 x 3 hours a week to work as more of a partner with me, help cook decent meals for DS, shopping, occasional twin minding while I pop out for an hour...

Does that feel right?

And how much per hour??

Thank you!

I would be interested in a job like this - I am about to start a temp job with school age charges, so as long as you don't mind my doing the hours during the day, I'm keen!

I have 4.5yrs exp with children, including shared charge of a newborn and shared charge of 3mth old twins. I have completed the NEST Diploma in Post-natal Care (non-medical Maternity Nursing) as well as an NVQ 2 in Childcare, current Paed First Aid, CRB.

I have the Mat Nurse qual but little exp with newborns, which is why a job like yours sounds fab to me. It would let me gain more little baby exp, but I am also happy to muck in with whatever needs doing.

If this sounds like something that would help, you can email me on nanny dot beth at hotmail dot com
