Where to advertise for very part time mother's help

I'm looking to arrange someone to help me out a couple of mornings a week look after my baby whilst I sleep or maybe have a short run and then a bath. We have no family to help and my husband works long hours and travels. I don't have particularly set hours I'm looking for. I'm based in London so where would be beat to advertise? Was thinking maybe gumtree? Thanks!

Also try netmums on your local childcare page. I have had a couple of enquiries from this when I offered similar part-time hours.

Good idea, I hadn't thought if there. Thanks

I have recently employed a part time mothers help (3 afternoons per week). I browsed the listings on gumtree, netmums and childcare.co.uk, I also put a profile up on childcare.co.uk. Within 2 days I 6 people lined up for interview and she started with me the following week, and it is wonderful to have another pair of hands to help out with my DTs! There seem to be a lot of part time nannies available, probably due to the economy (a few applicants said their current families had reduced their hours etc). Good luck.

Thanks ceeveebee, sounds promising.

My cleaner doubles up as a mother's help, so you could try that avenue too.

I suspect my cleaner might be up for doing some more hours but (pfb alert) she smokes so I don't really want her looking after him whilst he is small tbh.
