Is a live out nanny what I am looking for?

I have the potential to get a new job 7am-3pm. DH works until 2am and wouldn't be able to get up with the DC.
So I'd be looking for someone to come to the house at 6am, Get the children up, fed and dressed and look after them until 10am.

Anyone in a similar situation? is it a live out nanny you use? How much would this be likely to cost?

Or if anyone has any better suggestions, please feel free.

I have used a girl from my gym creche before from 6.30am to school drop off - works for her as she never starts work at the gym before 9.30

A live out nanny may well do it, but i have found most want more hours whilst searching for the holy grail of PT nannies in a rural area

Try posting on childcare.co.uk (but you may have to pay to register) or many people recommend gumtree and see who contacts you.

Thanks Sharkbite, I just wish we had more room and could get an au pair, DH thinks I should 'just' find a job 11am-3pm, Oh yeah...easy peasy.

I think something like a nanny share would work. Or you may find a nanny that only does after school for a family and is looking for something to do in the mornings. I would think Childcare.co.uk would be the best places to advertise. I think you may be looking around £8ph for a nanny but it really depends on where you live.
