Afterschool childminder, when to look?

Hi,

Am looking for an afterschool childminder for my DS1 from Sept. Trouble is we will not know what school he is going to until April, when should I look?

Not used to the childminding side of childcare, manage a nursery so this is all new to me!

I'd start looking now
Waiting lists can be long

Thanks, what i thought but wasn't sure how it would work as won't know school until April. Will crack on!
