and i wasn't expecting them for at least another six weeks.

it's my first visit, i have an idea of h&s issues that may arise, have downloaded policies and procedures from ncma, done first aid and food prep courses, and yet am filled with dread.

crb checks haven't come back yet, is this a problem?

is there anything that took you by surprise when you first had them out to visit you??

graded inspection or just a first visit? No need for dread if it's a pre-reg as they are there to help you get ready to register and tell you what you need to do, not to inspect.

Don't panic they are there for you to ask questions if you need to there's a great forum for childminders including per reg info www.childmindingforum.co.uk, I had given birth a couple of days before mine so was exhausted and not thinking straight and it was fine!

Thanks both. And I admire your forethought south. I only started thinking about it two days before mat leave ended!

There is a booklet that you should have been given which lists all the questions they may ask you. Will save time and hopefully nerves!! if you can fill it in before hand x
