Boring question but need clarification on CM fees

As I?m about to go on maternity leave, my DS is due to drop his three days (Mon-Wed) at his CM?s to one morning a week. The charge is £50 a day but she pro-ratas it so we pay £625 a month (for the three days).

As January is a long month and I have paid the £625, I think my DS? last day should be Tues 31st January but she is insisting that his last day is in actual fact Wednesday 26 January.

Before I challenge her I want to make sure I have my facts straight. We pay on the 1st of each month and no matter how many days there are in the month it's the same charge, hence the pro-rata structure. I have got this right haven't I?

Just ask her how she has calculated it, because we all do things differently

Well it depends when your year started really

Yes, you need to check how it was calculated. Had you not agreed on when the contract would be changing re the maternity leave? When I work out fixed fees for parents, it's all detailed very clearly on a word document and when any changes happen, the document is updated showing the changes so it's all very clear. I also make sure any change of days, notice etc. is in writing. I don't think any of us can help as like HSMM said, we all do things differently.
