Some questions re before/after school care

Hi, I am just wondering what options are available for before/after school care. In my area there are clubs which seem expensive with little personal care/interest. I suppose in an ideal world I'd be looking for someone to take my daughter to school and collect but be able to take to any classes etc she may have after school and be in our own home. Hope that makes sense.
Are there these options? Where/how could I go about finding out? Would I need a nanny and do nanny's want just these hours?
Many thanks for any responses in advance. Sorry meant to add we would only need term time as I work in education.
Thanks

I would like to think you'd be able to google registered child care providers in your area? What a shame your before/after school aren't to your liking. We moved counties 3 years ago and my daughters previous schools out of shool club wasn't the best but i had little choice as i worked in sales. But the club attached to my younger kids school is fab! Its like play group but for school age children. They are brill with both my boys even my youngest who didn't really like going as he didn't want to be away from me. So they came up with things he liked etc to encourage him to go. Know he wants to go everyday lol.

As for nanny's i can't help as i've never used one but would think it would be more costly than a school club?

We have a reg child minder locally who is really good. She takes some children to school and collects them, and from what i've heard her house is very homely etc where the kids have great fun! Maybe have a look around for a ref child minder?

The other options you may have is a private nursery. You don't say how old your daughter is, but the one i used would pick children up from the local school.

Sorry i haven't been more help, but totally understand where you are coming from. I;m due our 4th in 11 weeks and will be going back to college the next term so i;ll be worrying like you are x
