Won't be doing that again!

My husband and I looked after 2 children while their mum studied at college.

It all ended in disaster and the mum gave us 4 weeks notice (because we dared to charge her a late fee for picking up over half an hour late).

We told college and asked that we could pick up the cheque directly from them for the childcare.

They gave the cheque to the mum on dec 1st (for childcare for sept - nov). Mum won't hand the cheque over and says she has "lost" it. College won't issue another one until they have spoken to her and she isn't answering phone calls at the moment

There is now no way that the money will clear in time for Christmas

I am so angry.

I'd threaten the college with the small claims court

not the colleges fault, the mum is at fault

I am just bloomin cross. You look after other peoples children in your own home, offering a warm nurturing environment for what?

Thankfully all of the other families that use our services are lovely Xmas Grin
