My DS is coming to the end of his time with our lovely CM.

He has been there for 2 years, and has been cared for the CM and her 2 assistants.

I would like to buy them a small gift, but money is tight, so looking for ideas of something you would appreciate and indicators of costs.

My CM has heaps of toys and me and other parents quite often pass on old toys which she is grateful for. So do not want to go down the route of something for the setting.

Thanks everyone.

Wine, chocolate, hand cream, vouchers, flowers, cash

Not fussy really , it's the thought that counts.

How about one of these I love them! They start from £9 and are a gorgeous keepsake

cake they are LOVELY

gapants, a really nice handcream is a fab gift - our hands get very raw, in and out of water: handwashing, painting, cooking etc

You are so kind, putting so much thought into this - they will miss you, you sound a really nice person to work with

this kind of thing

I like stNicks ideas. Although I am neither nanny nor babysitter, thinking of getting our cleaner/babysitter a nice bag of bath lovelies from M&S.

And a glowing reference :)

I was thinking this was about xmas presents and was going to suggest a free day off Grin

I think a nice keepsake would be lovely, what about a keyring made by your dc that will remind her?

Gapants · 14/12/2011 18:14

Thank you for all your suggestions.

I have got some really nice hand made fudge and hand cream for the assistants and for the CM, a small picture of DS and some hand cream and I remembered I have a big scented candle that is in a really pretty glass holder, so I will give her that too.

I will miss her! She is an amazing woman with endless patience. I have never ever heard her raise her voice (no one has!) and she loves all her charges.
