Pay rates for nannies in Midlands

I'm after some advice about rates of pay in the midlands if possible.

I have a live-out nanny, who works 3 days a week for me. She started 11 months ago, with gross pay of £10/hour.

I plan to give her a pay rise when she's been with us for a year, but I wasn't sure how much to increase her hourly rate by.

Can anyone tell me what the going rate is in the Midlands, and what pay rise you would expect after a year? She's very experienced (mid 30s, been nannying since leaving school) and is generally very good.

Thank you

My nanny friends in the midlands all get approx £10.50 some get a bit more some get a little less depending on hours worked. They are all experienced nannies.

I'm not in that area but I would say around £10-£11 gross per hour is probably about right for someone experienced. It's only Major City locations that seem to be higher, London is typically higher though there are pockets even within London where salaries are lower.

If you feel a pay rise is in order, then give one which you can afford.

£9.50 per hour gross although I know quite a few nannies on less. I haven't given a pay rise as I haven't received one myself!

As a very experienced and qualified night nanny I charge £15 an hr thats is gross and thats high for the area.

Anything from £7-£12 gross is the going rate for a nanny in the midlands unless you are extremly well qualified in that you are a nurse or teacher and that qualification is needed within the nanny job or you are very very experienced then you may earn up to £15 gross.

Tinies nanny agency seem to average around £8 gross an hr for their midlands jobs, first choice nanny agency seem to always been around minimum wage upto £8 gross and other agencies are around £7-£10 gross if that helps.
