I had the dreaded vomiting and diarrhea bug on Friday evening. It came out the blue and wiped me out completely. I was sick with it until Sunday so had to cancel work on Monday and Tuesday as I felt so weak from it. First day back today. Had a 2 year old, 17 and 18 month olds in from 8am-5pm. I am so tired from the day that I feel like I have been hit by a ton of bricks.

My parents live abroad and I hadn't seen them for 9 months. They came to stay on Friday and we went for out dinner in the evening. The bug hit me completely out the blue and I had to rush out of restaurant and was sick in the street! Oh, the shame!

I am feeling very sorry for myself :(

Bless, you have my sympathies and I'll kindly have some Wine for you! I've had similar ages today and am knackered without having been ill.

Also had a crappy day, my 18 month old learned how to take off her nappy to hand me poo, the 17 month old I look after was back from a 2 week holiday and was hell bent on destroying everything in sight and the 13 month old was ill and wouldn't be put down and I couldn't get hold of his mum (dad abroad) or any other emergency contact :( Oh and the last parent to pick up wanted to stay and chat for ages when all I wanted to do was eat tea and have a drink.

Have some Thanks and hope tomorrow is a better day

oh shite(sorry garden) poor both of you, hate hate being sick and its really hard cancelling kids as you feel SO guilty, sure you will feel better soon but if you still groggy put your health first and take another day off, soon b the weekend.

glenth my sympathies, had similar hoohar contacting a parent today, neither dad or mum answering texts, not an emergency but annoying as had to unexpectadly pick up own dc from school slap bang in pick up time, went anyway of course and found dad waiting on my drive not best pleased, just told him could he please check his phone as it could have been an emergency and both were uncontactable(think made that word uo) exit red faced dad and serve right!!!

also yes can moan about parents picking up and wanting to chat to excess, after having their child for 10 hours just want to say bye bye,

I find if its the last pick up and you know its a lingerer then have coat on and say you leaving too. park your car on the road if you have a drive to stop block in and head to the nearest off licence for the wine..

soon be the weekend...
