I took her and her brother for a walk and I picked a dandelion and said 'let's blow this and make a wish'

Her brother said he wished he could have a digger', I said 'I wish everyone could be happy' she then said 'I wish everyone could be white, like have white skin'

I was really shocked- should I tell her mum or is it just an innocent thing for a child to say, her parents or just let it slide?
When I asked gently a bit further why this was her wish she just said so that no one would have to talk about it Confused

Its just an innocent child trying to find a simple solution. I remember a child, after a classmates sibling died, 'just imagine it didnt happen' . They just want to solve things they cant comprehend with solutions they can comprehend. Tell the Mum about it, just as you'd report anything else that's happened in the day.

thanks- yeah it wasn't said with any negativity at all- more as you said a simplified if not a bit random view

I think she just thought life would be simpler if we were all the same colour.

I think it's just innocent, they try to make sense of the world don't they? How old is she?
