What do you pay your babysitter? I'm advertising for work at the moment but am unsure how much to charge before midnight and after. I don't want to take the piss!

I think it largely depends on a mix between your qualifications/experience and your location.

In London the going rate was:
-£7 an hour for one child /£10 an hour for two for childcare professionals from nursery
-For my unqualified neighbour's teenage daughter and her other babysitting friends, it was £5 an hour. (Plus I added a fiver if after midnight)

In Sussex I pay £6 pounds an hour for two children, with a qualified professional and the sitter puts my kids to bed.
